Show SCOUT OFFICER IS ENTERT1E0 D. C. Bartley Leaves for Capital Cap-ital Following Banquet Friday Fri-day at Weber Club D. C. Bartley, until recently deputy commissioner for the central district of the Ogden Boy Scouts, was entertained enter-tained at a farewell dinner given in the Weber club Friday night. There were present members of almost ev-1 ery troop organization in the city and occasion was made to thank Mr. Bartley Bart-ley for his intensive work in helping to perfect the local organization. Rev. John Edward Carver, vice president pres-ident of the local council, presented Mr. Bartley with an engraved "fountain pen, on behalf of council members. Taylor Eccles, mascot of Troop 3, handed to Mr. Bartley a scout record book, the gift of the scouts. The patrols pat-rols heaped various remembrances upon the departing commissioner. George W. Goddard, president of the council presided as toastmaster. 1 Others at the banquet were W. G. King, scout commissioner G A. Rockefeller, H. B. Tanner, H. C. King, W. J. Stocker Mrs. Bartley was presented with a bouquet of flowers. Mr. Bartley left yesterday afternoon for Macon, Wash., where he is to enter en-ter the drug business. Mrs. Bartley and daughter. Beatrice, will follow shortly. , I r rv . |
