MORSE MOON, the popular Salt Lake actor, who scored a great hit in the original production of Margaret Whitney's vaudeville vaude-ville operetta, "The Wrong Bird," will again entertain the patrons of the Pantages' Pan-tages' circuit in this delightful musical sketch. For some time past Mr. Moon and his wife, who is known to the motion picture pic-ture world as "Donna Drew," have been dtiing. splendidly in the "movies" down Los Angeles way, but they have recently been prevailed upon to return to the legitimate for a tour of the Pantages Pan-tages circtiit. Both Mr. Moon and his wife are widely known in this city, and the announcement an-nouncement that they are again to appear ap-pear here will be received with interest. With Mr. and Mrs. Moon, Miss Josephine Jose-phine Young, a talented young Salt Lake girl, also will appear in "The Wrong Bird." Miss Young scored a hit in the original production. It is possible the production will open its engagement for the Pantages circuit in Salt Lake, at Vantages theater thea-ter here, but this detail has not been definitely decided upon. The sketch will be beautifully costumed cos-tumed and produced, it is said, and if the opening engagement of the secoud tour of the Pantages circuit is played in Salt Lake City, Manager Newman intends to make the event a memorable one. Margaret Turn bull scenarioized "The House of Silence," and is now completing com-pleting "The Firefly of France" for Wallace Reid. Of course, Commodore Blackton writes scenarios for his own productions for Paramount, but as he is also a director he cannot be classed with the regular staff. At the Morosco studio Gardner Hunting also does plays, but he is balanced by Julia Crawford Ivers. So, whatever can be said, the ladies have the lead in this direction. It is time for the mere men to begin looking to their laurels. BUSTER KEATON and "Scoop" Conlon the former one of the most successful comedians in the country and familiar to all who see the Paramount Arbuckle comedies, and the latter Mr. Arbuckle 's personal press representative, have both been accepted under the draft. Both are awaiting their call to the colors. Kea-ton Kea-ton is m A-l. Conlon has passed examination ex-amination and is in A-C, special service. |
