Show PERSIAN LEOPARDS ACT MISTRESS Martha Florine Puts Her Pet Felines Through Stunts in Barnes Circus. Martha Florine, who fears men but loves beasts, daily risks her life in a den of jungle born Persian leopards to entertain the dear public. Martha is a real circus lady and most beautiful. She was born in Switzerland, received her first animal education under the tutelage of Cari Hagenbech, come to America when she was seventeen 3nd has been with Mr. Barnes ever since. She is very afraid of the handsome "American men," and cannot give up the adoration of the "beast pets" long enough to permit these "handsome men" to court and win her. Martha does not know what fear is when handling wild animals and though her limbs axe a "Morse code pattern" due to the many "dots" and "dashes" her felines have playfully put there by their "pretty claws" stie delights in putting her group of Persian leopards through a series of horse riding, hoop jumping, ball rolling and a sensational seesaw act in the steel arena of the Barnes circus twice daily. This unusual blond beauty will be seen with her pets in the parade at 10:30 a. m. show day and at the afternoon and night performances of the Barnes circus, Main and Eighth South, Monday, May 13. Martha is an expert horsewoman also and "doubles in brass" in the circus by riding one of the troupe of "Tango" and "Military Horses," which are an unusual attraction of the show. |
