Show MAMMOTH SUSPENDS WORK TEMPORARILY MAMMOTH. May A. Operations have been suspended temporarily at the property prop-erty of the Mammoth Mining company. The shutdown occurred Wednesday morning, morn-ing, when practically all of the men employed em-ployed refused to go to work because of the company's failure to comply with the request for a semimonthly pay day. Manager Earl Mclntyre of the Mam- moth has not given out any statement j regarding the shutdown, other than to j say that the class of ore which is being be-ing mined there is bringing very little revenue and that the officers of the company- are perfectly willing to allow the property to remain idle for the present. The contract under which the Mammoth's copper ore has been shipped ha.s expired and it is generally understood that there will soon be an improvement in the copper cop-per market. |
