Show VICTORIA MAKES $8000 SHIPMENT Ore of An Unusually High Grade Is Found on the 1050-Foot Level. Special to The Tribune. EUREKA, May 4. For the past few years, the Victoria, now owned by tho Eagle & Blue Bel, has been a moneymaker, money-maker, and from all reports the present year will be one of the best in the mine's history. The reason that the mine can be expected to make an excellent excel-lent record during the year is the fact that ore of unusually high grade is now-being now-being taken out, particularly on the 1050 level, where work has been carried car-ried ou for a number of years. One carload of ore, recently sampled, sam-pled, should bring the owners of the Victoria between $8000 and $10,0110. This is one of the best cars that has ever been taken from the property", and it is believed that other consignments of the same class of ore will be coming com-ing along with some regularity. While tipnres showing the value of the ore are not available, it is understood that a splendid grade of ore is also being shipped from the Eagle & Blue Bell. This ore nins well in lead and silver, and there seems to be an abundance abun-dance of it on all of the levels, from the 1000 down to the 1780 level. While a station was cat and drifts started on the 2000 level in the Eagle, the deep work w-as temporarily stopped on ac- . count of the scarcity of miners. It is believed, however, that the work will soon be resumed. |
