Show UNDERWRITERS WILL AID IN WAR WORK At the regular quarterly meeting of the Utah Association of Life Underwriters Under-writers at the Commercial club yesterday yester-day brief addresses were made by C. C. Bacces, chairman of the insurance men 's committee of the third Liberty loan campaign; Dr. Cornelius Beck, traveling auditor of the Mutual Life of New York, and J. Alien Morehouse of Idaho, formerly of the Utah association, but now enlisted in the service of the United States. ' The following resolutions were adopted: "That we pledge our earnest and unqualified un-qualified -support to secure the enactment enact-ment of federal legislation providing that the millions of young men, descendants de-scendants of all races and nationalities, annually arriving at military training age, shall have at least six months' intensive in-tensive physical and military training, coupled with such opportunity to learn our language and our ideals of government govern-ment as is consistent with making' the alert, broad-gauged, selfreliant and red-blooded red-blooded Americans which the country needs for its future progress and security. se-curity. The training to begin as soon as the cantonments are conveniently available for that purpose." |
