Mrs. Evan Johnson and small son, Evan, of Ephraim spent Sunday here as as guests at the Abram Johnson home. The Missionary society met Tuesday afternoon at the home of Mrs. H. C. Beaumann. at which time a musical programme pro-gramme embracing the hymns of Isaac Watts and Charles Wesley was rendered. Several beautiful solos and duets illustrative illus-trative of these hymns were sung by Mis-s Grace Sample, Mrs. T. M. Keusseff and Miss Ruth Mitchell. Biographical sketches or Isaac Watts and Charles Wesley were Riven by the Rev. R. B. Norton and T. M. Keusseff. Luncheon was served to twelve guests at the conclusion con-clusion of the programme. The last meeting of this year will be held Wednesday, Wednes-day, May 7. One of the most novel entertainments of the year was the "Roman banquet" given by Miss Mary Trowbridge for the members of her Latin classes Monday evening at the teachers' cottage. The rooms were artistically draped in purple and white hangings and tapestries to resemble re-semble a Roman banquet hall, and the guests, numbering twenty-six, were resplendent re-splendent in Roman costumes.
