Show TEN OVERLANDS IN LOCAL DRIVE-AWAY Browning Automobile Company Sends Autos to Idaho, Wyoming and Utah Towns. Last Wednesday afternoon the Browning Automobile company was the scene of a genuine "drive-away," and one of the Willys-Overland officials who has his headquarters in Chicago, and who was visiting here at the time, stated that it seemed like home to him to see a genuine " drive-away 1 ' once more, for he states that practically all cars now delivered from his automobile factory within a radius of 500 miles are driven overland by the dealers to conserve railroad equipment. The "drive-away'' from the Browning Brown-ing salesrooms last week consisted of ten Overland cars and one Willys-Knight, Willys-Knight, and it was an imposing spectacle spec-tacle to see the eleven beautiful cars leave the Browning salesrooms and parade up Main street before departing for their various destinations. Three of the Overlands were driven to Shoshone by Seller & Purdam of that city; the Browning Automobile company of Ogden took two of the Overlands home with them; the Auto company, Overland distributors in Logan, Lo-gan, drove an Overland home; two went to Price for the Price garage, and W. P. Payne & Sons took two of the new Overland beauties to Richfield, while Pr. J. L. Wicks drove the new Willys-Knight to Evanston. Manager Arch Browning stated that it is the Browning Automobile company's com-pany's policy to deliver cars in this manner whenever possible, in order to help as much as possible in releasing railroad equipment for other and more vital purposes, and that at least 90 per cent of the Willys-Overland output in this territory will be handled in this manner during the coming season. |
