Show BD6 PREPARES TO RESUME SHIPPING Miller Hill Showing Improves; Im-proves; Earl Eagle Cuts Sulphide Stringers. AMERICAN" FORK, May 4. The automobile auto-mobile stage began operations in American Ameri-can Fork canyon Monday and will make regular trips three times a week to start with, and it is expected that daily trips will be made in the near future. The I roads are in good shape to the Dutchman flat and will be in shape from there to the Pacific mine early this week, when It is planned to put fifteen teams to hauling ore and concentrates that are piled up at the Pacific. Carl Ferlin. superintendent of the property, was down Tuesday and returned to the mine Wednesday, going through with his automobile. The ore at Miller Hill is still improving, improv-ing, both as to quality and quantity. They are drifting south on the ore at present, and it is opening up in fine shape, according ac-cording to the report from the mine. The vein is getting stronger and the amount of shipping ore In the south drift is materially ma-terially increasing as the work progresses. As this ore is making for the Whirlwind ground, which Is but a short distance to the south and west, stockholders are pre-I pre-I dieting big things for the Whirlwind. If the vein goes into the property and through It, as is believed, it would mean the Whirlwind would have some 2000 feet or more along the strike of the vein. The contractors who are driving the tunnel on the Bog cut the first porphyry dike last Tuesday. This dike will not be prospected at present, but the work of driving will be continued. A force of men win be put on the ore in the upper workings in a week or ten days, and as soon as the road is open to the mine the snipping of ore, which was stopped on account of the snow just before Christmas, will be resumed. Considerable ore is on the dump ready for shipment and more will be taken out to make regular regu-lar shipments all summer. The work at the Earl Eagle is progressing pro-gressing favorably and reports which come from the property are that the formation for-mation is changing and that the ore-bearing ore-bearing zone is being approached. The fissure will be cut within a very short time. The face is streaked with sulphides sul-phides and iron pyrites, and is becoming highly mineralized. Theo Nirholes came down from the Gold Hill property the fore part of the week. He reports the work progressing in fine ?hane and that the showing is highly gratifying. Streaks of ore are coming into the face, containing load and copper. Steel rails and tools which are left in the mine become coated with copper in a very short time. The tunnel is in 275 feet and the strong fissure vein which crops to the surface will be cut in about twenty-five twenty-five feet, and from every indication it will open up into an extremely rich body of ore. |
