The heaviest penalty pen-alty on record for violation of press cen- I sorship regulations has Just been Imposed on a Greek editor employed on the Athens newspaper, Chronos, says an Exchange Telegraph dispatch from Athens. . He has been sentenced to eight years' solitary confinement, a fine of 10,000 drachmae, and three months' suspension of his paper. His offense was violation of the terms of the martial law by the reproduction of articles whose publication had been prohibited. o |
