"s . - 1 , , - ' IT IS ALL over in tho City and the Commercial leagues, the prizes havo been distributed, the postmortems postmor-tems held and plans and predictions made for the 1917-18 season. First prize in the City league goes to Henagcr 's bear cats the Cubs. Second money was captured by DanUv's Business Busi-ness Men and third place goes to the Broadways, piloted by Mark Kecdall. ; Tho Cubs also annexed tho prizes for team high three games and high single game, with the Business Men second in both events. Individual honors were taken by a number of pinsmiths, W. J. Quimi leading lead-ing the list with first place in the average aver-age column, first for the most strikes and first for least number of errors. In the averages Bockholt was second, Heu-atrer Heu-atrer third, Maughan fourth, J. B. Quiun fifth, A. V. Smith sixth and Danley seventh. A. W. Smith got the second prize for most strikes and Bockholt sec- i ond for least number of errors. Hughes, of the lvanhoes, made the most spares per game and Hampshire came next. High three was surrounded by J.'B. Quinn, with Bockholt second and A. "W. Smith tied with Quinn for high single. The Union Assay quint landed on top in the Commercial league standings and the Schramm-Johnson crew came second, sec-ond, with the Amberican Foundry third. High three honors were also captured by the Union Assay team and Schramm-Juhnson's Schramm-Juhnson's squad took the prize for the hich single. There were nrizes civen for fourth, fifth and sixth places in the Commercial league and they were annexed an-nexed by the Stiefel's K. K., the Spald-ings Spald-ings and the Salt Lake Hardware, in the order named. Hallen, of the Union Assay team, finished fin-ished in first place in the individual average column and also captured the high three games, as well as the prize for least number of errors per game. Taylor, of the Boston Store, shot the highest single score for the season. Simon Si-mon Rosenblatt got the greatest percentage per-centage of spares and Spencer the highest high-est average of splits. 1 |
