BERLIN DECLARES FRENCH ATTACKS ARE UNAVAILING BEBLIN. March 24, wireless to Sayville. Say-ville. Reviewing the recent fighting on the Macedonian front north and west of Monastir, German army headquarters today declare the recent French at tacks were entirely unavailing and that the objects sought, the heights in the hill district, are sti 11 firmly in Teutonic hands. The statement reads: The engagements between Lakes Ochrida and Presba and near Monastir Mon-astir seem to be over for the time being. From March 12 until March 21 the French made attacks every day. They launched in these attacks at-tacks considerable portions of their Seventy-sixth, One Hundred and Fifty-sixth and Fifty-seventh Aiv'ur sions, as -well as several colonel regiments. The ground gained on MaJri 15 and 18 by the enemy was compen-eated compen-eated for bv our counter-attacks on March 20 and 21: The dominating domi-nating heights in the mountainous district west and north of the Monastir Mon-astir basin, which had been the ob-v ject of the French, are firmly in our hands.
