Show Says His Wife Piaced Poiscn In His Liquor Charge Is Made by J. Alexander Alex-ander Leslie in Action for Divorce. THE putting of poison in his whisky whis-ky is among tho cruelties alleged al-leged against hi j wife, Emma Leslie, by J. Alexander Leslie iu a su,f for divorce filed yesterday in the Third district court. The cui.iplaint recounts alleged cruelties cru-elties cn the part of the wife extending extend-ing over a period of four vears. The plaintiff avers that upon one occasion he tasted whisky which he kept in a botile at his home in .Magna and was shortly seized with convulsious. Later chemieal analysis, he alleges, proved t.;e liquor to contain a deadly poison, which, he avers on information and oe-liet, oe-liet, was put into it bv his wife. Leslie charges that his wife habitually habitual-ly calls him vile names and frequently accuses him of improper relations with other women, especiaUv upon occasions of his visits to Salt Lake. For somo time past, according to the complaint, the defendant has refused to cook meals or do other housework, though provided pro-vided with a good home and all supplies sup-plies for housekeeping. The plaintiff expresses willingness that the defendant should have custody of Lorna Bernice Leslie, an adopted daughter, ti vears of age. There are no other children. He further sets forth in the complaint that he would be willing to pay $-!0 a month toward the support of the child. |
