ACCUSED OF BUYING BOY'S STOLEN BUTTER P. C. Smith, colored, a porter in a local restaurant, was arrested last night at his home. 564 East Fourth South street, by Juvenile Officer George Robinson on the char.are of buying stolen butter from Fay Fredericksen. a minor, who in turn has confessed to stealing the butter from his father, who Is in the produce- business. Smith. It is alleged, peddled among colored families in the neighborhood Formal charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and receiving stolen goods will be brought against hira tomorrow morning. Young Fredericksen said Smith had persuaded him to steal the butter In his father's store. Smith paid from 7 to 15 cents a pound, the boy said, and sold it for ZS cents a pound to his neighbors, according to Robinson.
