Show CEfML PLACE IS LIVELY SUBDIVISION On March 15 the city commission decided de-cided to order the paving of Ninth South street, between State street and Third East, this pavinj to be given preference over all other paving to be done during the present year for the reason that in connection with said paving pav-ing a storm sewer will have to be built between Third East and. State streets to take over the -waters of tho city which converge at the intersection of Third East and Ninth South streets. The paving of Ninth South will immediately imme-diately improve this thoroughfare in the most up-to-date manner. The paving will intersect with Hubbard Hub-bard avenue, the new street opened up recently by Ashton-Jenkins company between Ninth South and Belmont avenue ave-nue and Second and Third East streets. Hubbard avenue was paved by Ashton-Jenkins Ashton-Jenkins company last year. Central nlace is also heme improved by the same firm with modern sewers, sidewalks, side-walks, watermains and other public service advantages besides the paving of Hubbard aveuue. In connection with the paving of Ninth South street, Third East will also be paved from Ninth South to Belmont avenue, or one block north of the city's new Liberty school. Ashton-Jenkins company reports that Central place is almost one-half improved with modern homes. Several news cottages have already been commenced since the first of the year in Central place on Ninth South and on Hubbard avenue. Central place is Salt Lake's elosest-in subdivision. Members of the firm of Ashton-Jenkins company feel that the entire property will have been sold out with the advent of good spring weather. |
