Show C. C. CONSOLIDATED WILL SHIP SHORTLY Bad Weather Has Been Cause of Delay in Extension Operations. Opera-tions. Shipments of oro on company account ac-count from the Calil'ornia-Comstock property were to ha,ve been started this week, but because of the great amount of snow in the vicinity of the mines and on the road between them and the railroad, delay has been occasioned. The coming week, however, will witness wit-ness inauguration of the shipments, as ore is being mined from the exposed bodies in the upper levels. Early in the coming week it is also planned to start the new development campaign in the lower level under the personal direction of General Manager .1. C. Jensen. Probably the first work will be to start a winze by which it is expected the Crescent beddings will be reached. This is one of the most noted fissures of the Park City district, as much ore has been mined from it by companies whose properties adjoin the C.-C. Consolidated. The beddings cross the propertv at right angles, and the indications 'are that big rewards will come to the company from this development develop-ment work. The lioaring Lion fissure, which is the main ore-bearing fissure of the Park Citv district, traverses the C.-C. Consolidated holdings for their full length, and new development operations to open it up will soon be started, by General Manager Jensen. The Silver King Coalition is working in the Roaring Roar-ing Lion fissure within about 101)0 feet i'rom the lino dividing the two proper-tics, proper-tics, and reports are that the production from the fissure is large and the ore of .Vv'ork will be going ahead in three places in the upper working", where that number of ore bodies are exposed, while the new work in the lower level, also, will be under way at several different places within the' next few days. |
