Show BOYS' PIG CLUBS PLEASE STOCKMEN One of the biggest factors recently in building up tho pork industry of Utah is the organization of the Boys' Pig clubs in the district and high schools by the Utah Agricultural college, col-lege, according to opinions expressed by stockmen yesterday. More than 000 brood sows have been given to the boys who are expected to I care for them and fatten the litter. It is expected that tho output next fall will be from $000 to 10.000 fat pigs. A special feature of the hog-raising campaign is tho list of. pri.os offered of-fered by the Oregon Short Line company com-pany to the boys who make tho most economic production. The prizes are as follows: First, $100; second, $50: third, $25. According to Professor J. C. Hogensen, state leader in the Boys' dubs, and his assistant, E. VT. Stevens, the offering of the prizes has given an added stimulus to the club work. |
