"All we want is for the fuctnty to give us more Hollier and Dixie cars and we'll not have a complaint in the world, whether spring ever comes or not," was the way General Manager Miller of the Miller-Cahoon company expressed himself yesterday in connection connec-tion with tho company's business during dur-ing the past week on Hollier and Dixie cars. Kver since tho Miller-Cahoon com- , pany opened its Halt Lake display room at 127 South Stato street, in the Movie building, the amount of interest displayed dis-played in both the Hollier and .Dixie; cars has proved surprising, in view ol the fact that in this section of the west the two cars are comparatively unknown, although in the south and throughout the eat the Hollier and Dixie cars are among the largest selling sell-ing automobiles on the market. Mr. Millor reports an interesting feature fea-ture in connection with the Dixie Flyer In the fact that a great many southern people are constantly calling at the Miller-Cahoon salosroom to inspect and ride in this southern thoroughbred among automobiles. The Dixie is a lightweight car made in the south by one of the greatest machine manufacturing concerns m the United States and is tho car that is mostly driven by the elite of .the Boutn. The name "Dixie" has proved a happy hap-py selection and both the car and the name are rapidly obtaining a great deal of popularity in Salt Lake. Mr. Miller reports tho arrival of additional ad-ditional cars during the past week to enable the company to deliver a few Holliors and one. or two Dixie Hyers in the immediate future. The number of cars being shipped from the Hollier factory, however, is about one-third what the Miller-Cahoon company can use. The convenience and comfort arranged ar-ranged for drivers and guests in both tho Hollier "eights" and "sixes" are proving important features of these two models of the Hollier, according to officials of the Miller-Cahoon company. Both tho "eights" and the "31x0s are arranged for center control lett-hand lett-hand side. X'pholstcry is fitted throughout through-out and deep coil springs and scientifically scientifi-cally designed cushions make riding a pleasure. Both cars are equipped with all conveniences necessary, including footrosts, robe rails, door pockets, rear tire brackets, etc. Tho front pedal is adjustable for length,' making the. car fit' any driver. The steering mechanism, brake's and axles are unusually powerful power-ful and reliable, and the top is made complete in the Hollier plant and is particularly pleasing in appearance. The tonneau is built with aisle and individual indi-vidual front seats. |
