Mr. Crawford, who has been engaged - in the furniture business for many years in Salt Lake, and who is the sole owner own-er of the company, said yesterday that he felt that there was need for a change in the furniture business of Salt Lake, and if he could effect it it would be of mutual benefit as between himself and tbe lovers of high-class furniture at reasonable prices. The store on State street has been especially fitted out. to show furniture to its best advantage, HO. 000 feet of space being devoted to this purpose. "It seems to be the custom when one buys furniture in an)' city," said Mr. Crawford, "that they shall expect credit, cred-it, and they invariably ask for terms. Tt is our purpose to extend credit to those who are entitled to it, and right here there is something that should be said. The Crawford Furniture company does not anticipate that they will make new customers pay the debts of old defaulting customers, as, unfortunately, . has grown to be an evil with many furniture fur-niture houses extending credit right and left. Of course, any responsible party can get terms at our establishment, establish-ment, and with it secure as fine a line of furniture as it is possible to bring to Salt Lake. We are prepared to take care of all patrons in up-to-date ways, and a visit to our establishment will certainly be appreciated not only by us but by .the peonle themselves who like to gaze upon furniture such as they have never seen in Salt Lake. " The. Crawford Furniture company in the matter of deliveries promises to be second to no other establishment of its kind in the. intcrmountain country. Two large automobiles have been secured, and an experienced force of furniture handlers is on hand. |
