Show BLMEHP Fife FOR SELUJ8 L1Q0QR Required to Pay $299; Pleads Guilty to Two Similar Charges. Previously convicted on a charge of unlawful sale of intoxicating liquor, F. C. Blankenship, manager of the West Side Automobile club, was sentenced yesterday by Judge J. Louis Brown of tho Third district court to pay a fine of $299. The sentence is identical with that imposed in the city court, from the judgment cf which the defendant appealed ap-pealed in three cases. Pleas of guilty were entered yesterday yester-day by Blankenship with regard to the other two cases. The court set 'next Tuesday as the date for passing sentence sen-tence in both cases. In the meantime the city has asked that a -jail sentence be imposed. Evidence in support of the request is to be submitted by Moses C. Davis, assistant city attorney. Attorney Attor-ney Davis informed the court yesterday that the city law department is in possession of evidence that Blankenship lias coutinued to sell liquor at the clurj since he was convicted, as well as since a restraining order was issued by Judge W. H. Bramel, on application made by Joseph C. Sharp, city detective. Hearing upon the action for injunction injunc-tion has been set bv Judge Bramel for February 26, at which time the city will argue for permanent injunction against the club. |
