The ladles of St. 7-beth'3 guild served an oyster supper ; to dancers at midnight. i The Magna Ladies' club was enter- j tained at the home of Mrs. Louise Wal- tham Thursday afternoon. The prize for high score was awarded Miss Arthur ncha'?e. Guests Tvero Mrs. R. F. McFad-den, McFad-den, Mrs. H. Mathews, Mrs. J. Woods and Mrs. Hazel Richardson. The IjOS Amlgo club "was entertained yesterday by Mrs. W. C. Thompson. The Magna Women's club gave a musical mu-sical and social afternoon at Cooper's hall last Wednesday. The decorations were in club colors, royal purple and gold and the club colors were also carried out in the refreshments, which consisted of ice cream, wafers and punch. About 150 people wore present. The programme was as follows: Mrs. L. Richardson, vocalist; Mrs. R. P. McFadden. pianist, and Miss II. Greenwood, reader. St. Elizabeth's guild gave an enjoyable dinner at the Woodmen's hall on Thursday Thurs-day evening. There were several raffles and other attractions during the evening. The affair was a grand social and financial finan-cial success. It was the first event of the kind ever given by the Catholic people peo-ple of Magna. The meeting of the guild will be at Mrs. J. Downey's nest Thursday Thurs-day afternoon. |
