Show SUMMER BUCKS Sil-CHO ROADS Equipped With Goodyear Tires, Trip Is Made -From Denver on Same Air. An interesting trip from New York to Salt Lako in a Studebaker car equipped with Goodyear tires is contained con-tained in a letter received yesterday by Studebaker Brothers company from A. E. Young, secretary of the Christie Combination Auto Lock company of this city. The entire trip from Denver to Sa'it Lake was made t through snow , drifts and other bad road conditions, ! with the car giving no trouble whatever. what-ever. The letter follows: The distance which I covered with the assistance of the Studebaker Stude-baker six, 1917 model, on leaving Denver, was 675 miles, according to the speedometer. On leaving the Goodrich tire station the tires of the car were inflated to the proper pressure and I reached Salt Lake with the same air, with the exception excep-tion of one tire which was punctured. punc-tured. Enroute from Bawlins, Wye, to Rock Springs, a distance of 115 miles, the roads were covered by three feet of snow. However, the car plowed .the entire distance in one day. Steep grades were encountered encoun-tered and together with the deep drifts made hard pulling. At one . place it was necessary to provide a tettm. The trip was started at New York City and the entire trip from the Atlantic coast to Salt Lake showed 3270 miles. It took only thirteen davs to reach Salt Lake. The Studebaker car is unexcelled in my opinion because we experienced no trouble during the strenuous trip. |
