This was In the Junior league. The Walrus aggregation has Jumped Into first place, winning four games and taking the lead from the Serpents. Until the present pres-ent week the Serpents have been at the head of the 'percentage column, due to Ihelr fast and consistent playing, 'but their failure to win from the walruses In the last contests forced them to take second place. The Sharks were defeated by the Seals 1u three of their contests, which has lowered low-ered their percentage almost 100 points, but the lead which the Sharks held the week before was too much for the Seals to overcome. The Seals are gaining In speed and are becoming more efficient with each week's play. The Badgers are still leading in the Boys' league, and are playing at a fast clip. Each week finds them with an Increased In-creased percentage without a sign of losing los-ing any of the advantage gained. The Beavers are playing a strong game and are outdistancing the other teams of the league In their efforts to cinch second position. The Lions are being pushed hard by the Wildcats for third place and should overtake them In another week of play. The Bears made a slight gain on the Coyotes, but were unable to win enough to yull out of the cellar. |
