Show VISITORS HIED TO INSPECT PLANT Utah Auto Painting Company Com-pany Issues Invitations to Witness Methods. All visitors and dealers who attend the automobile show are especially invited to visit the plant of the Utah Auto Painting Paint-ing company at 254-256 Edison street. Robert Bell and Harry Brisbee, owners, will take pleasure in showing their guests through the plant and explain all the methods and the material used for painting paint-ing and refinishing motor cars by the latest process. This firm has a modern, up-to-date plant, with sand blasts, air brushes, scientific air drying- kilns, and bake ovens for enameling. This will prove of special interest to owners of cars, as they can see the original finish put on as produced by the factories in the east. The scientific drying kiln is well worth the time alone. The cars are put In for each coat and are dried at a temperature of 80 to ino degrees, and from 70 to 90 per cent humidity is provided for in the kiln, and by means of an exhaust fan a fresh supply of air is furnished every ten minutes. All air entering the kiln is washed and purified by running it through a water tank. This water-washed air is forced into the kiln by a fan blower and contact with a radiator superheats it and drys the varnish in four and one-half one-half hours, giving a luster and clearness to it that only this process can produce. Enamel bodies are produced in the kiln at a slow bake for six hours at a temperature tem-perature of 125 degrees. Several dealers are having their cars shipped in the lead from the factories and this firm Is painting paint-ing them in factory style in any colors that suit the buyer's taste. For the benefit -and accommodation of its customers this firm has leased part of the annex building, which Is used as . a first-class trim shop, where customers can have upholstering done on their cars, new tops, seat covers in the latest colors and designs, also body and fender repairing, by Al mechanics. All this work can be done while the car Is being painted, which is a great saving of time to the motor car owner, which this firm feels will be appreciated. |
