Show RUSSELL ADDRESSES LIFE UNDERWRITERS Declares Taxation of Life Insurance Is Burdensoms to Individual Holders of Policies. , At the regular meeting of the Utah Association of Lifs Underwriters, held at the Commercial club yesterday, President Presi-dent Bussell of the National Association Associa-tion of Life Underwriters addressed the gathering. His remarks were very timely, time-ly, as they gave association members many ideas for favorable consideration. The matter of taxation of life insurance insur-ance as is now being done throughout the legislatures and government of the United States, he said, is particularly burdensome, owing to the fact that it makes another and direct tax upon the policyholders or citizens of this country. Ihe meeting was largely attended both by members, invited guests and insurance, in-surance, men of the city and state. President Hathaway of the Utah association as-sociation called upon such eminent insurance in-surance men as John D. Spencer, Dan Livingston, President Carter of the In-termountain In-termountain Life and John D. Giles of the Beneficial. All of these made time-lv time-lv and interesting talks. j The Utnh Association of Life Underwriters Under-writers will hold its regular election of officers for the ensuing year two weeks from yesterday, the meeting to be held at the Commercial club as usual. |
