Show RITCHIE VANTS GO WITH WELTER CHAMP Speaking of Willie Ritchie, that erstwhile erst-while lightweight lias been stung; by the welterweight bee and believes that, 'having 'hav-ing taken on too much poundage to qualify qual-ify as a lightweight any longer, he is entitled en-titled to make a slash at the crown which by mutual consent seems to adorn the brow of Jack Britton. Ritchie has asked Dominick Tortorieh of Xew Orleans to get him a twenty-round twenty-round go with either Britton or some of the other welters. Ritchie made an effort ef-fort to establish himself as a welter last year when he tackled Ted Lewis, the Englishman, and was outpointed a mile and a half. Then Lewis got ambitious and took a trimming from Britton in Xew Orleans. Britton is going good now. beating them all consistently, "and there is no reason why he should decline to meet Ritchie. |
