Show MAINTAIN VALUES IN SILVER SHIELD Manager Says Ore Saved Is More Than Paying Expense of Development. De-velopment. The raise from the 01 to the 02 level of the Silver Shield at Bingham, which entered such remarkably rich ore last week, is up about twelve feet above the 01. Manager Joseph states that the high-grade streak is maintaining its width of two feet. The ore saved in raising is considerably more than paying pay-ing for the work. The raise has thirty-five thirty-five feet to go to connect with the 02 level, where the same streak of ore has been exposed in the roof for a distance of fifty feet. Its average thickness above the 02 is said to be two feet and its average content 12 per cent lead, thirty ounces silver, $5 gold and 2 per cent copper. The value is between $40 and $30 a ton. The 02 level is about 500 feet vertically verti-cally from the surface with which it is to be connected by a new working shaft. Construction work on the shaft is already al-ready under way. Both the 01 and 02 levels were run out from the Miracle stope, in which 10.0(M) of high-grade ore was mined by the Silver Shield company last year. " j Both the Bassett ami Beals leases are 1 saving ore. The Bassett lease on the back vein in the main tunnel has out about sixty tons of shipping ore and the ' Beals lease, operating in. a winze below j one of the surfaco tunnels, has connect-; ed with and is saving ore from a vein which runs exceptionally well in silver and gold.
