Although no moves have been made by the Baseball Players' fraternity since President Dave Fultz released the players from tbeii pledges and averted a strike, it is believed be-lieved the organization is broken up. Baseball men here point out that the players will see no reason for paying dues amounting to $1S per year to an organization that Is not recognized by the major leagues. They say the members will drop out, One by one, until the fraternity will be completely dissolved. President Fultz announced today that j the members of the organization had been I formally released from their pledges not to sign 1917 club contracts until they re-I re-I ceived fhe consent of the fraternity offi- cials. This release is the final step In calling off the recent baseball strike I which for a time threatened to seriously interfere with the game during the coming season. Fultz, in announcing the withdrawal of the strike order, said that the fraternity would continue as the players' official or-I or-I ganization and the future of the associa-I associa-I tion would depend upon the interest and l action of the players themselves in this connection. Charles ("Chick") Evans, Jr., national open and amateur golf champion, will not teach "batting form" to members of the Chicago Nationals Nation-als on their spring training trip. Evans announced tonight that he had abandoned aban-doned his Intention of making the trip at the request of officials of the United States Golf association, who suggested that the venture might affect his amateur standing.
