Mrs. John Astor, widow of Colonel John Jacob Ja-cob Ator, in company with the Princess Patricia of Connauoht, is teaching the wounded British soldiers how to make themselves useful when they are finally discharged from the hospitals to shift for themselves. j Mrs. Astor is conducting the wood carving classes, while the princess is teaching the wounded how to make useful use-ful articles out of chintz. .
