Show MINOR CLUBS EAGER FOR VERNON SURPLUS Special to The Tribune. LOS ANGKLKS, March 17. Stovall had his entire Tiger crew out today and the pitchers were given special attention. The Flensals will play the Pasadena semi-pro abrogation tomorrow, and today's practice prac-tice was. in a largo measure, preparatory to the game. The sixth minor league club to bid for the privilege of being used as a farm for the Vernon Tigers entered the lists when a letter was received from Manager Savage Sav-age of the Joplin club of the Western league. Savage asked Stovall for a pitcher, a catcher and an outfielder from the Vernon club, and said he would be glad to pluv them under option to the Tigers. ''This makes the sixth club to ask for pla vers under option," said Stovall. "I will pick out one of them Monday." |
