Show CARNATION DAY IS MADE A SUCCESS OGDEN, March 17. Carnations of vivid red divided honors here today with those of St. Patrick 's day hue when Red Cross Carnation day was inaugurated in-augurated as a means of raising funds for the work of the local chapter. More than a score of young women, arms filled with flowers, appeared in the business district this afternoon and separated sep-arated the unwary pedestrian from any amount from 10 cents up in exchange for a red carnation. Huge bouquets of carnations were placed on display in almost every of- fice and store where the flowers could be purchased at almost any price the purchaser might feel disposed to give, ilost of the carnations used in the campaign cam-paign were donated by local floral companies. com-panies.
