ErncL ii a feiisiiisiii Siijco the discovery of coal tar dyes In the shop of the celebrated German Chemist, Hoffman, In 1856 American capitalists have endeavored times without number to purchase the secret formulas, for-mulas, the only successful processes the world has ever known for the making of fast coal tar dyes. The stupendous sums offered for these secret formulas have been steadily refused. I know this of my own knowledge because my family in Germany has held one of the most important of these secret coal tar dye formula s for many years. My father is today one of tb.9 largest dye and textile manufacturers In the German Empira. I learned these secret formulas from my family years fcSV ago. They have never left my possession or control K .. and they are known to no person In America today : ,.. ; except myself. ' - x My life has been spent In manufacturing coal tar dyes - 'v.' "r At this point I desire to make myself very plain ro- garding a most important matter: Ernest F. Bushman. I have not the slightest Intention of divulging or relinquishing during my life the secret of the formulas I possess. I shall continue to hold these secrets Inviolate as long as I live. In order, however, to protect the men who Invest their money with me In the establishment of the new plant, I have executed an ESCROW AGREEMENT with the officials of the National Dye & Chemical Company, which Is as follows: SALT LAKE SECURITY & TRUST COMPANY Salt Lake City, Utah, February 19, 1917. Receipt Is given for a sealed envelope upon which is attached the following agreement: ESCROW AGREEMENT ERNEST F. BUSHMAN, AND NATIONAL DYE & CHEMICAL CO., Salt Lake City, Utah. Salt Lake City, Utah. Deposited with the Salt Lake Security & Trust Co., Salt Lake City, Utah, February 16th, 1917. These papers not to tie removed except upon presentation of a eeruried copy of the Minutes of the National Dye & Chemical Co. authorizing tills action and bearing the company's seal. Said order to be signed by at least three (3) directors of the above-named above-named company. Executed In triplicate the day and year above written. SALT LAKE SECURITY & TRUST COMPANY, By A. O. Sullivan, Cashier. Escrow fees paid, $2.50 (two dollars and fifty cents). Salt Lake Security & Trust Co. (Signed) Oscar Fltterle, Teller. This agreement means In brief that, In the event of my demise the secret formulas I possess shall pass to the ownership of the National Dye & Chemical Company thus protecting every man who invests in the stock of this company against every contingency. I have made this statement to show you the safeguards that have been placed around the future operations of the National Dye & Chemical Company, and to make clear this fact that the company is organized and will operate on a basis of ABSOLUTE PERMANENCY. The profits on coal tar fast color dyes range from 100 to 3000 per cent; and even at these tremendous tre-mendous figures many of the most wanted dyes cannot be obtained in this country now AT ANY PRICE. The following figures will show you the approximate comparative prices paid for these dves before the war and at the present time: Retail Price Retail Price at Dye Before the War the Present Time Chrome Yellow 45c per pound $8.00 per pound Chromo Black 35c per pound 7.00 per pound Chrome Red 50c per pound 9.00 per pound Acid Purple 65c per pound S5.00 per pound Acid Violet 65c per pound 35.00 per pound Acid Green 65c per pound 35.00 per pound Diamin Black 15c per pound 5.00 per pound Immedial Black 15c per pound 5.00 per pound To my knowledge, no direct fast black for either cotton or wool can be bought in the United States at present. In addition to ten basic fast color dyes, the company's plant will manufacture such by-products as ammonia, naptha, napthaline, benzine, benzol, carbasol, parafflne, liquid oils, creosote oils pitch and others. Profits on all of these lines of by-products are very high, and will continue so irrespective of war conditions. The market for not only the coal tar dyes, but the by-products, Is ABSOLUTELY UNLIMITED, UNLIM-ITED, and, Irrespective of war conditions, there will be a very large profit in all of these lines for many years to come. The plans now being formulated for the new factory call for a plant covering three acres We expect to be operating within four months. Special machinery will be designed after my own plans, and this will be made In the east and will be shipped In the Immediate future. The company has had opportunities to completely finance the National Dye & Chemical Com-' Com-' pany by releasing control of the stock to capitalists. This, however, the company prefers not to do, and for that reason we are offering 49,000 shares of the capital stock of the company (which consists of 100,000 shares at the par value of $1.00 per share), and on these 49,000 shares the company will accept stock subscriptions of 25 per cent cash and the rest at the rate of '5 ner cent in 30, 60 and 90 days at the par value of $ 1.00 per share. This stock is being rapidlv sub scribed for and I would urge immediate action if you are interested. It Is A MOST UNUSUAL opportunity for a PERMANENT SAFE HIGHLY PROFITABLE investment with an unlimited future.
