Show t MAGNA 4 MAGNA, March 17. The Magna Ladies' Bridge club was entertained the past week by Mrs. A- J. dinger. The Relief society celebrated Its seventeenth sev-enteenth anniversary at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. B. James Thursday evening. even-ing. The anniversary date was really on March 17, but was celebrated on Thursday Thurs-day instead. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Deppe of Arthur celebrated their twelfth wedding- anniversary anni-versary Thursday evening. The host and 1 hostess were the recipients of many beautiful beau-tiful presents, consisting principally of linen and china. Music, gam as and dancing danc-ing were enjoyed during the evening and a general good time was had. A delicious supper was enjoyed by a large number of guests. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. George Lynham, Mr. and Mrs. George Mitchell, Mr. and Mrs. James Kane, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Russell, Mr. and Mrs. Lester MillSan, Mr. and Mrs. Guy Piatt, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Hood, Mr. and Mrs. Allen War-dell. Mr. and Mrs. James Howard, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lynham, Lyn-ham, Mr. and Mrs. Mat hew Hennessy, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ten, .Air. and Mrs. Dewey Wright. Mrs. James Leyland, Mrs. GcorEe Royer, Miss Leonora Sandahl, Miss Bertha Wright, Miss Annie Wright, Miss' Mabel Kane. Miss Clara Lynham, Mrs. ' Ida Brown, Lloyd Brown, Joseph Kane, John Russell and Mr. and Mrs. Deppe. Mr. and Mrs. G. GuggisTerg were pleasantly pleas-antly surprised Monday evening by a number of Mends. A repast of candy "and fruits was Served. J. W. Thompson, coach of the Pleasant Green basketball team, entertained the boys of the team at eupper Wednesday evening. Mrs. Thompson was assisted in serving by Mrs. Stella Thompson. The guests were Mrs. G. Gusgtshercc, Ace Thompson. K. H. Anderson. GIpii Reid. H. a. Planter. Leonard SpenJlove and John Marlor, Jr. Mr. and Mrs. I. W. Coon celebrated in honor of their mother's eighty-fifth birthday. A banquet was served to a number of the children, grandchildren and ffreat-grandchildren, after which music and singing were indulged In. The Magna Dramatic club successfully staged "A Daughter of the Desert" in the Pleasant Green hall Friday night. |
