Ensign, secretary of the state fair. The movement is general throughout the counties of the -state, and is certain, cer-tain, according to Secretary Ensign, to have an excellent result in stimulating interest and home pride to send the cream of the state's products to Salt Lake City this fall for the greatest exhibition ex-hibition in the history of the annual exposition. Iron county was the first to get under un-der way. The fair committee chose yesterday yes-terday as the ripe time to get every public-spirited citizen out to the fair grounds for a general cleanup by voluntary vol-untary contribution, of labor. In addition addi-tion to the cleanup, the grounds will also be leveled and many other improvements, im-provements, such as voluntary labor can contribute, will be installed. Discussing the movement last night. Secretary Ensign said: This is the sort of spirit which makes for the upbuilding of the . state fair. The"earnest workers of the county should strive to put an exhibition of their own handiwork, skill and labor into their state fair, and then the selection of the best exhibits to come to Salt Lake would be greatly extended. By first getting the residents closest to their own fair working the success of the .-tat-e event is assured ever-inCreasing ever-inCreasing success. |
