Show IDAHO AND U. A. C. DEBATE ON CLOTURE Forensic Contest Waged on Proposal to Limit Argument in U. S. Senate; No Decision Rendered. Special to The Tribune. LOGAN, March 17. The Utah Agricultural Agri-cultural college met the University of Idaho in debate here yesterday morning upon the question: "Resolved, That the senate of the United States should adopt the following rule: The senate may, at any time, when a bill, treaty, or other measure is under consideration, by vote of two-thirds of the souators E resent and acting, taken without de-ate, de-ate, adopt an order fixing the time when debate upon such bill, treaty, or measure shall cease, and when a vote upon the same, and all amendments pending, or that may then bo offered, shall be taken without further debate: and, in the order fixing the time for taking such a vote, it may also limit the time which a senator may occupy in debate between the operation of uch order and the final vote upon such bill, treaty, or measure; it being agreed that if any such rule be desirable this is the best "that can be devised for tho purpose. pur-pose. ' ' Utah, upholding the negative, was represented by George Hansen and Samuel Sam-uel -Morgan, while Clarence Taylor and Frank Koch debated the affirmative for Idaho. Because none of the ;"judgos decided upon by the two institutions could serve, no decision was rendered. The material was ablv handled by both teams.
