Show BRIBERY IS CHARGED IN TWO COMPLAINTS Consideration Said to Have Been Offered Of-fered for Testimony in Case of Killing Barker Boy. Bribers- is 'charged in two complaints issued from the office of the county attorney vesterday against George Thanopoulos and Pericles Kogers. Tha-nopoulos Tha-nopoulos is alleged to have offered a bribe to Peter Pikoulis, and Kogers one to James Dadas, if each would testify that Andrew Savas had admitted to him the driving of an automobile that struck and killed the minor son of Charles Barker of Taylorsville on Bed-wood Bed-wood road on November 6, 1915. Barker recentlv filed suit in the Third district court against Andrew Savas, Sa-vas, Tom Savas, Jim Korobas and George Phonnopoulos, doing business as the Progress Grocery company, to recover re-cover $6250 damages for the death of the boy. According to the information furnished fur-nished the office the defendants in the briberv charges are alleged to have promised Dadas and Pikoulis each a third of what might be recovered in the suit to recover damages for the death of the boy if each would testify when the case should be tried that Savas had admitted ad-mitted driving the car that killed the vouth. |
