Show CLOSING OF HOSPITAL AT FORT POSTPONED Abandonment of the military hospital at Fort Douglas will be postponed until September 1, according to a telegram received re-ceived by Colonel A. D. Farce yesterday. This is clue to the fact that it was impossible im-possible to remove all the patients now at the hospital to other hospitals by August 1, the date originally set for the abandonment. It is believed that the extension of time will bo sufficient so that practically all the patients can be discharged. '''At the present time Lhere are approximately 400 patienty at the hospital. Only a small percentage of this number are bed cases. The telegram ordering the extension of time read as follows: "Commanding Officer No. 27, Fort Douglas Reference proposed abandonment abandon-ment of your hospital August 1. It has been found impractical to close on above date. Will probably close September 1. Further Instructions by mail. In meantime mean-time continue disposing of cases rapidly as possible.
