Show O'BRIEN BOASTS OF MURDERING WOMAN FREEHOLD, N. J., July 16. While a grand jury in New York was indicting Edward O'Brien, 20 years old, for the murder of Gardiner C- Hull, a Manhattan Manhat-tan stationer, the youth boasted today about his crime to fellow prisoners in the county jail here. Not only did he tell ftie details of the brutal attack on Mr. Hull, but assumed responsibility for the killing of Mrs. Julia C. Wilkins, for whose murder her hus-ha hus-ha n d , L r. W alter Keene W i 1 k i n s, was convicted and afterward committed suicide sui-cide in the jail at Mincola. The police profess to place little credence cre-dence in O'Jiricn'.s confession of thc Wilkins Wil-kins murder, however. They declare he is reveling in the notoriety he has gained and seeking to make tho prisoners here think he is a "had man." |
