Show BOASTS OF MURDER OF DOCTOR'S WIFE By Universal Service. NEW YORK, July 16. Edward O'Brien, IS, under arrest at Freehold, N. J., following follow-ing his indictment in this city by a grand jury charging him with the murder of his employer, Gardiner C. Hull, created a sensation among local authorities by boasting, according to cellmates, of having slain Mrs. Julia Wflkins. Doctor Wilkins was recently found guilty of this crime by a Long Beach jury, and hanged himself in his cell two days later while awaiting sentence. After stolidly adhering to his confession confes-sion of guilt for the Wilkins crime, he tonight to-night denied the truth of his story, and said he was "kidding" his fellow prisoners and that he knew nothing of the Wilkins case. |
