Show BRITAIN CALM UPON U. S.-IRELAND COURSE LONDON, July 16. The British government govern-ment does not regard the action of the United States senate with respect to Ire- land, or the acts in the same connec- tion of other persons or bodies represent- ing the American people, as in violation j of article X-of the league of nations cove- j nant, said Andrew Eonar Law, the gov- ernment leader, in the house of commons j today. The government, Mr. Bonar Law added, j would not put the question of the future j government of Ireland on the program for i consideration at the next meeting of the1 council of the league of nations. j |
