The star is ably supported by John Bowers and George McQuarrle. This picture will appear today at the Strand theater. Miss Klvldge is seen in a dual role in this production. Mr. Bowers and 'Mr. McQuarrle also hnve unique roles. "Joan of the Woods" is a drama of great beauty. It starts In the woods and ends happily in the city. It is tho story of a little backwoods girl who, loves a lawyer. She marries him, but later humiliates humil-iates him by her actions in a big hotel. The lawyer forgets his love for his wife and deserts her and her little baby. Then follow many surprising incidents which add to the Interest and entertainment of the picture. The headliner features Billy Jackson, Evelyn Bennett and Billy Tate, assisted hy a bevy of chorus chor-us girls in a musical comedy entitled "Col-leso "Col-leso Girl Frolics." Mr. Jackson has a rich voice and sings with finished technique. tech-nique. Miss Bennett is unusually pretty, has a pleasing personality and sings well. Billy Tate adds wit to the performance in an effect ive manner, and tho chorus work is good. The songs and dances of Big Bonn Linn will appeal especially to those who like the extreme .ludicrous. He has a. boisterous boister-ous voice, a fat and awkward bearing, and a laugh-provoking personality, all of which he uses to good effect. John O. Sparks and company present a playlet entitled "A Friendly Feud," which is full of humorous situations and original wit. It deals with the reconciliation reconcilia-tion of two political enemies, both Irishmen, Irish-men, when the son of one elopes with the daughter of the other. Jazz melodies rendered vocally and as duets on violin and accordion, make up the act of Charles Klass and Jose Termini. Ter-mini.
