Show MAYER ANXIOUS AS TO COMPANY STATUS WASHINGTON, July 16. Julius T. Mayer, resident director in America of the Hamburg-American line, sailed for Germany today to find out what Is the status of the once great German steamship steam-ship company. Mr. Mayer said he lias been out of touch with the main offices of the concern since the outbreak of the war. When asked about a report that the Germans were planning a Zeppelin service to the United States, Mr. Mayer said, "such a thing is not at all an impossibility." |
