Show i : : 1 KNOX TRACTORS PLAY IMPORTANT PART IN WAR The picture shows a Knox model 35 tractor transporting a huge twenty-six-foot gun, weighing over twenty tons. : x ..... , .:. J.-:(. V v a'-SOiS The great war of the nations has brought out most, emphatically the importance im-portance of gasoline-propelled vehicles for transportation purposes, and the motor mo-tor truck has played almost as important a part in the great conflict as have the modem siege gnus themselves. The i nt cresting picture shown here- with illustrates the utility of the tractor trac-tor ou the battlefield. This heavy load was moved ovr eleven miles of poor road in one and one-h;ilf hours by the Knox tractor. According to C. A. Kastman, sales manager of tho truck department of the Utah -Idaho Motor company, local distributors of the Knox tractors, the significance of this feat may'be judged by the fact that with ordinary means it formerly took a day and a half to do this work. Mr. Eastman states that Knox tractors have conclusively demonstrated demon-strated their tremendous power and absolute ab-solute dependability, even under extremely ex-tremely difficult conditions that prevail pre-vail upon the battlefields of Europe. |
