Show DOCTOR ROSENTHAL TO PROMOTE TRADE NEW YORK; July 8. Before sailing for Bordeaux today on board the steamer Rochanibeau, Dr. Arnaud Rosenthal, American representative of the French Society for Commercial Development, De-velopment, announced plans for promoting pro-moting trade between America and France. During his stay of five months in this country Dr. Rosenthal said he had attended every trade congress or meeting of manufacturers and merchants mer-chants in every city he had been able to reach and made arrangements with leading manufacturers and merchants to handle their goods in France through the society which, he represented. This organization, he declared, has a financial backing of more than $100,-000.000. $100,-000.000. Its principal object is to eliminate elim-inate all middlemen and brokers so that buyers on both sides may deal directly di-rectly with producers. The plans of the society call for "a trade bourse" devoted to United States commerce in France where goods can bo placed by American firms for sale. |
