Show LYN BIG SIX GETS RETURNS FOR ORE Lowest Assay From Trial ( Shipment Gives $152 in j Gold to Ton. j i Relative to the trial shipment of six tons of gold ore from tlie Lynn Bix Six property, located at Goldville, about twenty miles northeast of t'arlin, Nev., in the" northeast corner of Eureka county coun-ty and in the Lynn mining- district, the following statement is beiug sent to stockholders by President and Manager llenrv Barker and 11. V. Van Pelt, vice president and auditor: The trial shipment of six tons from the east vein has been sampled sam-pled by the Utah Sampling company, and from the sampling three assays have been made, the lowest of which shows above $152 in gold to the ton. A car will be shipped the -coming week, of ore of apparently the same, or even better, grade. These shipments can be continued for a long time, as the ore seems to improve in quality and quantity as the east vein is being developed. For some weeks the company lias j been sacking or getting out ore for j sacking and, with our present force, can fill ninety sacks per day. We ship about 1000 sacks to the car. The vein is exposed near the surface sur-face at intervals by open cuts for ' about 600 feet on the strike and seems to be equally good grade tho entire length. This'information may be startling news and you may be better satisfied if you visited the mine in person. You aro urged to do so. We have nothing new to report on the west vein. Sp far it appears to be a vein of milling ore running about $30 to the ton. The west ! vein is ready for the mill, which we ' hope to have in operation without unnecessary delay. The vein is of very large proportions. The sacking is mostly from the high-grade portion of the east vein. The vein is about fifteen to twenty inches wide and assavs generally' much better than $200, the vein itself being about four feet wide, and that portion outside of the very rich streak assays $46 to the ton. It is possible that the sacking later on will be from the entire width of the vein and, while tho smelter returns re-turns per car will be less, probably about $100 to tho ton, economical methods of mining may recommend such a course. |
