Show TIRE - EMPLOYEES TO FOI INFANTRY Oil U. S. Tire Company Encourages Encour-ages Workmen Wishing to Prepare. The lTnited States Rubber company, one of the leaders in practical preparedness prepar-edness among the great corporations of the United States, has taken still an-! an-! other step to insure peace. The employees of the executive offices of-fices of tiie United States Kubber company com-pany in !New York have, on their own initiative, formed a war-strength company com-pany of infantry, which is now drilling twice a week in the armory of the Twelfth infantry, N. G. N. Y. The operating council of the United States Kubber company has granted an extra half hour at lunch twice a week for such employees as desire to take up military instruction. Colonel Clarence F. Wadsworth, commanding com-manding the Twelfth infantry, has offered of-fered the use of his regimental armory for this purpose. The services of a former for-mer officer of the national guard have been secured as instructor. The remarkable regularity of attendance, attend-ance, the enthusiasm shown for the work and the co-operation of the operating oper-ating heads of this great corporation show only too clearly how keenly men today foci the necessity of adequate preparedness. |
