Show THE TRIBUNE On this first of January The Tribune wishes everybody a Happy New Year To Its friends and patrons n hearty handclasp with the greeting They will be glad to know that it Is in line with the general prosperity of the people peo-ple that never before was it doing is well In a business way as now that never before were Its readers so many ati now nor its advertising as large and well paid It has in contemplation many Improvements and these will bo added as quickly as material can be had for tho purpose The TrIbune has been long a voice in Utah a sketch of its beginnings and progress appeals In this number It has always been outspoken and free in me condemnation of wrong and will continue to be so It will be more of a party paper than In the past but not to the crippling of Its individuality or its independence It will be a steady and In so far ns it may a strong force in the upbuilding of tho matterlal Interests Inter-ests of UtahIts mines its agriculture Its stockraising its manifold manufacturing manufac-turing powers It will continue to make known to the world the great natural wealth of our mountains and valleys and the great opportunities here for the Investment of capital in scores of en teprlses with certainty of good returns rt will strive for the betterment of the I I schools and to brine about Improved conditions wherever improvement maybe may-be possible and In short will be the friend of all good enterprises and tho wellwisher of every energetic and well directed effort toward the development of Utah and the searching out of new sources of industry whereby the welfare wel-fare of all may be advanced S With the mutual understanding that we arc all here together to do the best we can for the upbuilding of this great State we again pass to one and nil the compliments of the season and many happy returns of the day |
