CAME ACROSS WATER Affidavit In Divorce Suit Arrived From England All the way from Richardson street Denton Holme Carlisle Cumberland county England Great Britain comes an affidavit by Joseph William Wat eon which he desires read to the court when the suit of his wife Jane Watson for divorce is heard Mrs t Watsons action is on the ground ot failure to support Intfhls affidavit Watson says that when he was married mar-ried to the plaintiff In June 1SD7 they took up their home with the parents of Mrs Watson and remained there until July 16 1S9S when he was ordered or-dered out of the house and given the alternative of being thrown out Mr watson then says that ho went at which time he was told by his wire that she wanted nothing further to do with him and no support from him Watson then admits that he hog not supported his wife since but says that she received 17 from certain cooperative coopera-tive society stock which they held jointly that she also sold their furniture furni-ture and wedding presents In conclusion con-clusion Watson says he had not known of his wifes whereabouts for two years until he received the summons sum-mons In the divorce case He also makes the suggestion that according to the law of England his wife deserted de-serted him and expresses the belief that a court of English jurisdiction can make no order for maintenance or divorce against him
