When you think of "fast foods" do you conjure con-jure up pictures of ding dongs, twinkies, candy bars, or other "1 want them now" treats? How about signals of giant mounds of chemically loaded ice cream, running over with gooey white sugar toppings? Or do you choose greasy hamburgers or worse yet, hamburgers with bacon and cheese? Sound familiar? Yes, more often than not, people are choosing the "fast food lane" with failing health knocking at their high blood pressure, press-ure, high cholesterol levels and at their veins full of too much fat. Did you know that the tougher stem of the broccoli and cauliflower, when peeled and sliced into strips, provides a delightful de-lightful texture and taste? Try them and be sure to prepare ahead, store in baggies in the refrigerator and take them with you. The key to eating healthy is first education, and second, planning.
