Show Robert N. Wagner LAYTON Robert Nelson Wagner, 54, of 2890 N. 725 W., died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1988 at the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City of cancer. He was born May 16, 1933 in Miles City, Mont., a son of Nelson Joseph and Gladys E. Swartz Wagner. He married Iola J. Hansen October Octo-ber of 1954 in Ogden. They were later divorced. He married Evelyn Evans Sept. 21, 1971 in Las Vegas, Nev. He had been a disaster preparedness prepared-ness officer at Hill Air Force Base. He owned and operated TLC Engineering En-gineering in Layton. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of the American Amer-ican Legion. He was a former member of the Free and Accepted Masons. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Air Force. Surviving are his widow of Layton, one son and two daughters, daugh-ters, Eric Robert Wagner, Layton; Dorothy W. Winn and Nickie Wag- ner, both of Roy ; one stepdaughter, stepdaugh-ter, Tina Wright Baker, Minidoka, Ida.; and four grandchildren. Also surviving are his parents of Ogden, one brother and one sister, Theodore Wagner, Layton; Myrna Hollnagel, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Layton Mortuary. Bishop Randy Harris officiated at funeral services Feb. 13. Family prayer was offered by Willis F. Evans; prelude, Myrna McCowan; invocation, Lyle Elmore; speakers, Dorothy W. Winn and Kristen Davidson; "Whispering Hope" by Jake Huff accompanied by Liz Whatcott; speakers, JoAnn Elmore, Pastor Wendell Silvester; musical medley, med-ley, Liz Whatcott; remarks, Bishop Randy Harris; benediction, Bryce Bennett. Interment was in the Avon Cemetery. Pallbearers were Ted Wagner, Eric Wagner, Daniel Wagner, Jim Evans, Don Stevens and Jim McCowan. Military honors were accorded by the American Legion. |
